One of our church partners recently hired a new lead pastor for a second campus and he quickly realized a great need to get to know the neighborhood because it was so different from the main campus location. During the assessment process, the main campus pastor announced his resignation, leaving the main campus in transition as well. As a result, they have committed to assessments at both campuses, which will help the incoming pastor and the church family.
We have found that anytime you are looking to move forward is a great time to go into your neighborhood ready to learn, including these three instances we have seen it be highly beneficial:
1. Church planting or considering a new location
2. During a period of revitalization or re-entry
3. During times of leadership transition
Is now the right time for you to get out and learn about your neighborhood and join God at work around you?
